Now for the details :- from my friends in the creative industry.
Young Guns is an event solely for those young entrepreneurs and artists who have a thirst for creative thinking. It is an event combining both entrepreneurship and arts giving more excitement and appeal to our fellow youths to participate in. It would be an event full of entrepreneurship and creative activities happening in one place. This event also would benefit from the chill laid-back environment of the venue which would help participants to engage in activities in a more relaxed and entertaining manner. In a nutshell, it is going to be a new wave of entrepreneurship event! Whats going to happen there on that day?
1. Buy my thoughts
This is the highlight of the event, an informal pitching session where participants will be selling their ideas to potential investors that would be present for this activity. A participant is given 10 minutes to present their ideas to the investors on that day. The session is made informal to give a friendlier laid back environment.
2. Something to talk about
It is an inspirational talk session featuring young entrepreneurs and personas from various backgrounds of the creative disciplines. Music performers, retail merchandiser, designers and those who had been through the rise and fall of business would be invited to share their experiences and insights to the public and would be ended with a session of demonstration of what they do, from these inspiring presenters.
3. NGO exhibitions
Related NGOs such as the British Council, WWF and youth organizations would be invited to have their own booths in the event to spread their messages across the public.
4. Creative exhibitions
Exhibitions or promotional booths from local rising entrepreneurs which would consist of entrepreneurs from music, fashion and arts genres. Booth owners would have the chance to promote their brands and latest products to the public and further
5. Indie fashion showcase
All kind of designer from street wear to avant garde designers will showcase their masterpieces with models doing the runway along with runway background tracks played by DJs.
6. The green stuff
A kiosk giving out basic information on finance, investment and most importantly, money. It will be monitored and maintained by financial institutions such as IBBM (Institut Bank-Bank Malaysia).
7. Idea pockets
A small section where every participants can sit down in a corner for idea exchange sessions where constructive discussions took place. Participants also would be needed to write down their concerns and views based on idea directories/genres (labeled pockets/envelopes attached to a wall based on general topics) that they are concerned about. Participants can also create new idea pocket/genre should it not be found amongst the pockets provided.
8. Futurematic wall
An online pre-event campaign would be held to gather data for “Futurematic wall”’s presentation later on. In this campaign, a profile for each participant would be created on the portal. All participants are required to give out their name, age, ambition, their hope for the future and upload a picture of them dressing for success with regards of their respective ambitions for a profile. These profiles then would be projected randomly on the “Futurematic wall” for other participants to see. It is somewhat similar to sharing with others on ones ambitions and achievements in the future.
