SWEPA - Update from the President

A further update from the President of SWEPA, Dolly Jimayol (pic) on their 27th October event:

The 27th Luncheon Talk on Business Opportunities in Tourism Industry, by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Sabah will inform participants about:

- the "Overview of the Tourism Industry in general;
- about Sabah Tourism Board and its services;
- what Sabah has to offer : that covers the sea/marine life, jungle/nature, Mountain Kinabalu, culture and heritage, handicrafts, Sabah Museum and other historical places in Sabah, etc;
- Challenges and Opportunities, for entrepreneurs.

At this dialogue, SWEPA plants to "organize an exhibition on tourism and related products and services, such as wellness and health/foot and body massage management/SPA management, Travel and tours and IT Solutions that covers Hotel industry"

Dolly says, "after the Talk, participants would be able to equip themselves with the latest information about Sabah Tourism industry and they would be able to network with other participants/entrepreneurs too".

Target participants will be entrepreneurs (men and women), aspiring entrepreneurs, young graduates, business owners, managers, trainers and educators.

There will be small fees charged for non-members at RM40/- per person and RM35/- per person for members.

Dolly further comments "As SWEPA is a NGO, we are self-financing organization. For very big events like state-wide Convention, we normally look for sponsors."
