SWEPA - "UNLEASHING IT" IN SABAH

The FIRST Women Organization in Malaysia to join "the Week", SWEPA is further "Making its Mark" in this "Land Below The Wind",as Sabah is sometimes known.

As usual, I'll let the eloquent President of SWEPA, Dolly say it, as she says it best.

In her email to me, Dolly recounts how the Launch of GEW went in Sabah and what further plans SWEPA has in store for Sabahan during "the Week".

"Dear Dash,

Good afternoon and greetings to you and everyone in Warisan Global Sdn Bhd!

We have just celebrated our Launch of GEW Event yesterday. It was successfully organized, and the Talk was rewarding and the exhibition was great too.

Entrepreneurs were provided with comprehensive information about the tourism industry in Sabah, it's potentials and opportunities as well as incentives for entrepreneurs who wants to venture into tourism business. The Talk also touched on the Sabah Development Corridor Blueprint (2008- 2025) that has identified tourism as the key driver for the services sector.

On exhibitions, we have companies dealing with SPA, Financial Planning, Business Solution Software (Tourism and Hospitality), Tour and Travel Agencies and One-Stop Centre shopping , hotels, and leisure Mall."

She further adds:

We are now looking forward to "the week" where SWEPA has one instored already. And that is to learn Swedish Massage and our theme is "Sharing Our Passion with Wellness". This will be on 22nd November 2008 at Jari-Jari SPA Centre, Tanjung Aru Plaza, Kota Kinabalu.

For your information, SWEPA has more than 50% young entrepreneurs and professionals. Hence, it is the Executive Committee's efforts and responsibilities to provide all the necessary needs to our members in order to succeed in their respective endeavors, such as these two GEW events as part of our training programs. We are very pleased and grateful to Warisan Global Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Host, for exclusively inviting us as partner organization of the GEW, and we look forward to next years' participation again."
