The Ernst & Young : Entrepreneur Of the Year Judges Roundtable : 14th October

As a pre-Global Entrepreneurship Week activity, Ernst & Young, Kuala Lumpur - the Malaysian office of one of the Week's Global Sponsors, arranged for a Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Judges Roundtable yesterday.

The Roundtable was attended by some of the Judges of the EOY Awards - very distinguished people in the industry.

From left (in the photo below the EY logo):

Mr Devanesan Evanson - Chief, Market Operations, Bursa Malaysia Berhad - the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

Dato' Edmund Santhara - Group CEO/ED, Masterskill Education Group Berhad

Mr Philip Satish Rao - Partner, Advisory Services & Program Director for EOY

Ms Dorothy Teoh - Deputy Editor-In-Chief, The Edge

Mr See Huey Beng - Country Managing Partner, EY

myself and

Mr Roslan Bakri Zakria, General Manager, Technopreneur Development, MSC Malaysia.

Mr Philip kicked off the meeting by welcoming everyone. This was followed by a brief presentation by me on what the Global Entrepreneurship Week was, how organizations can participate, who is currently INVOLVED in Malaysia, how the Week is shaping up and my invitation to those present to become Partners.

After this, the Edge reporter asked those present some pertinent questions with regards to Entrepreneurship in Malaysia.

The judges were more than willing to give their views.

I am told the article is scheduled to appear one week before "the Week" . Should be great to create more awareness for the Week.

We were treated to a lovely dinner after the Round Table. It was a pleasant evening.

When work brings you new friends and enables you to catch up with some old ones, you can't ask for more ;-)

Thank You EY !
