Welcoming Kelantan Delights as Partner, The Soft Launch and My Sincere Request To Partners, Co-Conspirators and Friends.

Dear Friends,

The Soft launch of the Global Entrepreneurship Week is confirmed on 21 October at 12pm. The Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship has confirmed to do the honour. He even agreed to give a short speech. Nice.

Our heartfelt thanks to Datuk Ahmad, my friend and our partner from Salam for going out of his way to make all these arrangements.

The Soft-launch will be followed by lunch in Kelantan Delights. The lunch is co-sponsored by the restaurant, the The Media Shoppe (TMS) - Chris Chan the CEO was kind enough to chip in and Warisan Global.

Kelantan Delights serves authentic Kelantanese/Malay food. The restaurant is owned by a good friend, Mr Juhaidi - a successful entrepreneur.

En Juhaidi started his business by operating a small Malay food outlet at KLCC's food court. His outlet was a roaring success which enabled him to "graduate" to a full fledged restaurant at the same venue - 4th floor. The place is always packed. I have even seen dignitaries have their meals there.

Due to hefty rentals at the KLCC, En Juhaidi moved his restaurant to Sooka Sentral. He did not want to burden his loyal customers by increasing prices to cover his rental. The place he has now is bigger, has more creative spaces, and more importantly, it is easily accessible.

This is the only Malay restaurant I can go to and have a nice vegetarian Malay meal ! I had the best Tom Yam in the Coconut a few days ago when I went there to reccee the place. Mr Juhaidi and his team always go the extra mile to prepare a nice dish, for anyone. That's Juhaidi for you.

Welcome as Partner for the GEW Tuan Juhaidi !

Back to our meeting - we start at 10am. Now, here is what I wish to seek your support in:

Together we have put Malaysia on the world map. We are one of the countries with the most partners for the Global Entrepreneurship Week. For this I thank all partners and my small but very effective team to have worked day and night to ensure we meet the numbers.

We now, have to turn this partnership into effective action.

I urge you to come to this meeting with 3 things:

1. Your well defined activity (ies) & venue;

2. A story of your activities for the media;

3. And your media and audience outreach plan.

Once we have nailed the above, the Host Secretariat will for the next 3 weeks compliment your own efforts to:

1. Finds ways to support you via media outreach;

2. Blast out your events in various other sources available to us;

3. Keep updating the International team on how things are shaping up here.

Who knows, we may even have a surprise for Malaysia !

So, please help us help you and the entrepreneurial landscape in Malaysia become a solid voice in the international scene.

Thank You.

My preferred menu on the day: tomyam kelapa muda, kangkong belacan or asparagus with mushroom in oyster sauce and ikan goreng with sambal belacan. Plus ulam and sambal tempoyak, just like the fasting month. Sirap limau or sirap selasih is fine, top up with lompat tikam or pulut durian. and pass me mattress....
