"...almost ready to take off"

The Global Entrepreneurship Week "is almost ready to take off", writes Oli Barret in his blog, The Daily Networker.

Everyone’s busy. But when you do, it’s amazing the kind of kindred spirits you meet. If you haven’t got on board already, there’s still time - Global Entrepreneurship Week is almost ready for take off! "

I found the words "It’s easy not to engage. Everyone’s busy. But when you do, it’s amazing the kind of kindred spirits you meet" resonate with what I have been experiencing as a host.

With almost no budget and a skeleton staff, we have been pushing for more people to jump into this exciting idea, concept, campaign - call it what you like. But this ONE week, is going to be a blast ! Its going to connect so many young entrepreneurs around the Globe for the first time and don't you think you should be part of this "renaissance" !

My Partner in Penang is doing the same - with almost no budget he has rallied so many people to make Penang buzz during the week .

I urge organizations to become a partner. All it takes is a simple activity. If you need help, shout. We are here to help. So are many others.

Organizations can also sponsor some of the events that are already taking place. These are not splashy events. I am actually sponsoring an event for RM1k - to get 200 young people together to talk about technology and how its shaping their lives.

Imagine, how much you would pay to attend a course on a topic like this?

Its time we changed the way events and networking happen. Its time we changed the way we support each other. The groundswell has begun. The question is, are YOU part of it?
