5 More Weeks To Go And Where Are We?

It has been a busy weekend - started with me calling for a meeting with my team on Saturday morning.

It was a review meeting - to reflect and examine the things we have been doing thus far as far the Global Entrepreneurship Week is concerned.

What are our key objectives: In my view, there are 3:

1. Partners - Ensure our Partners have meaningful activities that meets the objectives of the Week;

2. Media - Ensure there are good stories to tell the media and also to get as much media coverage as possible - both traditional and the New Media.

If we want to shape the dialogue in entrepreneurship, its wise to have the media as our allies;

3. Gaps - look for activities and partners in areas we have none - such physically challenged entrepreneurs and also more young cool activities.

Overall we want to deepen the relationship with our partners and also support them. So, i said, lets have a 3 prong approach to our partners: Engage, Embrace and Energize.

We Engage them, enable them to Embrace fully the idea of "the Week" and finally support them to Energize their preparations and also the week !

This, i believe will enable us to mine for the interesting stories for Objective 2 and finally give us time to shape Objective 3.

The team appreciated this session I think, and they left for a nice Indian lunch with a clear mind !

Clarity is Crucial...in whatever we do, I guess.

Been reading about the current financial meltdown. Not a pretty story .....

"How do we become entrepreneurs in these times of economic turbulence?" is a common question.

Challenge, my friend ! Ride it. When you are into a sport, don't you look for challenges? When you play a game, don't you want the thrill of a challenge !

When we play a game we are engaged and enjoy the challenge. Why? There is a sense of play, of detachment...whao..DEEP !

Entrepreneurship - blur the line between play and work !

Easier said than done, I guess ! But what other choice does one have ?
